Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

The app has no email/password account system, and we do not collect your name, email, or phone number to identify you. Instead, we collect:

• Device/install identifier — used to tell devices apart. Only a SHA-256 hash of this value is stored on our servers, never the raw identifier.
• Content you write: your daily, topical, and free-meditation journal entries; the journal text and related Bible passage sent when you request an AI reflection; anonymous prayer requests; Sharing (삶 나누기) posts; and Q&A messages.
• Usage data: screens visited, features used, and errors encountered (collected on our own servers — no third-party advertising trackers).
• Subscription payment confirmation tokens from the App Store / Google Play. Card details themselves are held by Apple/Google — we never see them.
• The email address you provide when contacting support, used only to reply to you.

2. How We Use This Information

• Providing the core service — daily devotions, topical devotions, Bible reading, Today's Proverbs
• Generating an AI reflection — your written entry and the day's passage are sent to an AI language model to produce a response
• Verse search — using what you write to find matching Scripture
• Syncing across devices — via your own iCloud account on iOS, or via a hashed identifier on our servers for Android
• Anonymous prayer requests and Sharing, including handling reports of inappropriate posts
• Diagnosing errors and improving service quality
• Confirming Manna Premium subscription purchases and granting access
• Responding to support requests

3. AI Features and Your Data

When you use AI Reflection, Free Meditation commentary, or Verse Search, what you write is sent to our AI language model provider (Anthropic) to generate a response. This content is used only to generate that response in the moment — we do not otherwise use it for advertising or profiling.

Reflections are designed to speak only from the passage read that day and to leave aside questions that divide denominations. Even so, AI-generated content can contain errors or unsuitable phrasing, and it is not a substitute for pastoral counsel or professional mental health care.

4. How Long We Keep It

Your devotion records are kept until you delete the app or ask us to delete them. You can export your full history as JSON from Settings at any time, and deletion requests are honored without delay. Where law requires us to retain certain records for longer (for example, payment records for tax purposes), we retain only what is required and delete it afterward.

5. Sharing With Third Parties

We do not sell or otherwise share your personal information, except with the service providers below, who are contractually limited to using it only to provide their service to us:

• Anthropic — generates AI reflections, commentary, and verse search results (receives: your written entry, the related Bible passage)
• Supabase, Inc. — hosts our database and edge functions (receives: devotion/sharing records keyed by a hashed identifier, usage statistics)
• Apple Inc. — iOS app distribution, in-app subscription billing, iCloud device sync
• Google LLC — Android app distribution, in-app subscription billing

6. Your Rights

You can access, correct, delete, or ask us to stop processing your personal information at any time. Use the export feature in Settings to view or back up your own data, or contact us at the address below and we will act on your request without delay.

7. How We Protect Your Information

• We store a hashed identifier on our servers instead of your name or email
• Traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted (TLS)
• Access is limited to what is necessary to operate the service

8. Children's Privacy

Daily Manna is rated for ages 9 and up, and we do not knowingly collect additional personal information from children under 14. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 14, we delete it without delay.

9. Cookies on This Website

This website (manna.dstudio.kr) does not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. It stores only a display preference (such as dark mode) in your browser's local storage, which is never sent to our servers.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as our service or applicable law changes. Any change will be posted on this page in advance.
