Historical background
It is a beautiful story set against the dark backdrop of the age of the judges. It follows Ruth, a Moabite woman, as she comes to Bethlehem with her mother-in-law Naomi and meets Boaz. Ruth was the great-grandmother of King David and is named in the genealogy of Jesus.
